Merger Of Janata Parivar To Be Finalized This Week

The merger plan of Janata Parivar parties will be finalized this week.

JD(U) spokesperson KC Tyagi said, his party and RJD leaders have authorized Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to take a call in this regard.

He said, Yadav will talk to INLD Chief Om Prakash Chautala and JD(S) Chief and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda on the issue to build consensus.

Tyagi said that all the major differences on party flag, symbol and manifesto have been resolved.

He said a convention of these parties will be called by the end of April where other constitutional formalities will be completed.

Replying to a question, the JD (U) leader said the new political outfit will fight upcoming Bihar assembly elections under one symbol and flag.

Sources said, Mulayam Singh Yadav whose party has the largest number of MPs in Parliament among this group, will be the chairman of the new party.

These parties have 15 members in the Lok Sabha and 30 in the Rajya Sabha. Assembly elections in Bihar to be held later this year, will be the litmus test for the proposed new Janata Parivar party.
