Jan 20,New Delhi
Public sector bank employee unions have deferred their four-day strike proposed from tomorrow-Wednesday.
United Forum of Bank Unions Convener M V Murali said that the strike has been put on hold, as Indian Banks’ Association had assured them that wage issue will be resolved by the first week of the next month.
There are 27 public sector banks in the country, with a combined employee strength of about eight lakh. Earlier, employees unions had announced that they will go on a four-day strike from January 21 to protest against long-pending wage revision issue.
