Budget session of Odisha Assembly to commence from Feb 6

The Budget session of the Odisha Legislative Aassembly would commence from February 6 . The Budget for the 2015-16 fiscal would be presented by the Finance Minister Pradeep Kumar Amat on February 16.

According to the notification issued by the Parliamentary Affairs Department, Governor Dr.S C Jamir has” summoned the 3rd session of the 15th Odisha Legislative Assembly to meet at 11 AM on 6th February.”.

The first session of the calendar year-2015 would begin with the customary address by the Governor Dr.Jamir.

The session to continue till 4th April next would sit in two phases with a break for a period of 15days from February 22 to enable the departmentally Standing Committees to scrutinize the demand for grants of respective departments during the period.

The house would sit for a period of 30 days during the Budget session.

The second phase of the house would continue from March 11 till March 4.The Appropriation Bill-2015-16 would be presented on March 31 for the approval of the house ..
