L&T Sambalpur-Rourkela Toll Way Ltd. Organizes Debate Competition and Road Safety Rally in Kansbahal

In continuation of the activities in the chain of the 31st National Road Safety Week ,the  Sambalpur-Rourkela Toll way Ltd of  L&T organized a traffic awareness camp at Government High School, Kansbahal in Sundergarh district on Tuesday.

The Kansbahal Toll Plaza of L&T organized a debate competition on road safety among the school children to sensitize them to obey traffic rules and regulation and to make them aware the importance of road safety.

On the occasion,a road safety awareness rally was taken out by the school students in Kansbahal and distributed leaflets containing the slogans ‘Ride safe-Be happy’, and  ‘follow traffic rules save life’ etc.

Later a function was organized under the chairmanship of Kansbahal Toll Plaza Manager  Sanat Sujat Maharana. The Chief guest of the function Prasuram Sahoo, Motor Vehicle Inspector , Rourkela distributed prizes to the winners

Addressing the students, Sahoo said, government is making roads safer for all the road users and it is duty of every body to reduce the number of accidents following the rules. The main aim of organizing the programme is to promote and inculcate the importance of obeying traffic rules among the students, the future of society said MVI Sahoo.

The Toll Plaza Manager Maharana stated that the increasing road accidents has posed a great challenge as it causes huge loss of life and property .Education and awareness can play crucial role to reduce the menace of road accidents , he said.

Route Supervisor for L&T  Sankar Das and the MVI staffs coordinated the awareness rally and debate competition.
