Eastern Railways Launches ‘Jan Aahar” Canteen At Sealdah

Eastern Railway General Manager R KGupta inaugurated a ‘Jan Aahar’ Canteen at Sealdah station Wednesday .

He also inaugurated a ‘Takeaway’ canteen in which passengers and rail users who do not have platform ticket or any travel authority can also avail food, coffee, tea,water, biscuits at cost to cost basis from this “Takeaway” outlet.

‘Jan Aahar’ canteen will supply hygienic Janata Thali(Veg and Non-Veg) at a very low cost with good environment. One can sit and have his/her food in the canteen itself or can take away food in containers.

All the food stuff areavailable on cost-to-cost basis. The canteen will remain open from 0800 to 2200 hours. Passengers can avail this facility by purchasing platform tickets and get inside the station if they want to have food at canteen.

Additional General Manager B K Patel, Chief CommercialManager P K Sinha and Divisional Railway Manager, SealdahJaya Varma Sinha, were present on the occasion.
