NDA Govt’s !0 Months : PM Modi Appreciates Work Done By Secretaries To Central Govt

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has appreciated the work done by Secretaries to the Central Government during the last ten months.

He mentioned, in particular, the success of coal block allocations and Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.

At an informal interaction with the Secretaries at his residence in New Delhi, Mr. Modi described them as a team and urged them to consult each other regularly and speed up the process of decision-making.

He said a communication gap in the team is absolutely untenable. Reiterating his view that government officers should have the freedom and protection for objective, honest decision-making, the Prime Minister said efforts are being made to ensure it.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya, Member of NITI Aayog Bibek Debroy, Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth, Principal Secretary to Prime Minister Nripendra Misra, and Additional Principal Secretary to Prime Minister PK Mishra, were also present at the meeting.
