Coronavirus outbreak: Railway platform ticket price hiked to Rs 50

New Delhi, March 17 :

In the wake of Coronavirus outbreak in the country, Central Railway and Western Railway have  Tuesday increased the prices of platform tickets from 10 to nearly 50 rupees till further orders. Both the Railway Zones have come out with this move to ensure crowd control and avoid unnecessary gathering of people at the stations in order to combat the threat of Corona infection.

A Central Railway Spokesman informed that the price will vary depending on the size of the station, but it will be 50 rupees at big stations.
