PM Directs Removal Of MPs With Conflicts Of Interest From Parliamentary Panels
04 April New Delhi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi Saturday has asked a top minister to identify MPs with conflict of interest in all Parliamentary panels and remove them.
Prime Minsiter also asked the Health Ministry to increase the size of pictorial warnings on tobacco product packets to 65 per cent.
His direction has come amidst controversy over comments by BJP MPs on the use of tobacco.
However, there is no official confirmation of the same.
Meanwhile, Health Minister J P Nadda said that he and his Ministry maintain that tobacco consumption is unhealthy and should be avoided.
