Delhi Govt. To Re-Launch Anti-Corruption Helpline

Delhi government will re-launch the anti-corruption helpline today , Sunday to curb corruption in government offices.

The helpline 1031 will be inaugurated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at a function at Talkatora stadium in the national capital.

Officials said, the new service can be used by people to lodge complaints, if they are harassed for bribe by the government officials.

A group of volunteers has been trained to run the helpline round the clock and attend calls in English and Hindi.

All the cases related to corruption will be investigated by the Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi government.

The helpline will be a revival of the service, which the AAP government had launched during its short-lived 49-day stint in power after the Assembly elections of 2013.
