COVID-19 Positive : Odisha Inching Closer to 400 mark

With the arrival of migrants, as many as 83 more tested COVID-19 positive in Odisha during last 24 hours tally inching closer to 400 mark.
While 294 positive cases recorded Saturday, the number increased to 377 on Sunday, according to Odisha Health and Family welfare department.
All the new positive cases have been reported from the quarantine centers covering 8 districts in a single day. As many as 40,000 migrants are staying in quarantine centers in Ganjam district alone.
The worst affected Ganjam district continued to push the state’s COVID-19 cases for the fifth consecutive day, accounting for the majority 36 of the 83 new positive cases with one deaths reported during last 24 hours. With the new cases, Gajam district topped the list with 125 cases, followed by Jajpur with 60 and Khurda district 50.
Of the 377 cases , 150 are linked to Surat and 117 cases attributed to West Bengal.
To day with maiden cases reported from Angul-15 and Boudh -3, COVID-19 spread to 21 of the 30 districts of Odisha so far. Two Corona cases recorded in Puri district after a gap of 5 weeks
At present, there are 306 COVID active cases in the state and 68 people have been cured and discharged. So far three persons have succumbed to the infection in the state.
