Single Day Surge of COVID-19 Positives in Odisha 102 , state tally close to 1000 mark

Bhubaneswar, May 19 :
With 102 positive cases increase in a single day, the COVID-19 count in Odisha jumped closer to one thousand mark on Tuesday.
According to State Health and Family Welfare , the total positive cases in Odisha reached 978 Tuesday with 696 active cases.
Of the 102 new cases reported from 11 districts , the highest 31 have been reported from Jajpur, 23 from Jagatsinghpur, 21 from Bhadrakh and 8 from Kendrapada. And the 97 cases tested positive came from the quarantine centers and they returned from Surat, West Bengal, Tamilnadu and only five are local cases.
Another 30 patients have recovered from COVID-19 and are being discharged , taking the total recovered cases in the state to 307.
The recovered persons include – 20 from Ganjam, five are from Kendrapada, , two each from Balasore and Bhadrakh and one from Nayagarh district ,the state Health and Family Welfare Ministry tweeted.
