CPIM Demands Removal Of Kerala Finance Minister KM Mani As Chairman Of EC On GST

The Kerala unit of the CPI-M has demanded the removal of State Finance Minister K M Mani, who was appointed as the Chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Ministers on Goods and Services Tax recently by the Union overnment.

Addressing a press conference in Calicut Friday , the party State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the appointment of Mani, against whom an FIR has been lodged in connection with a bribery case, has sent wrong signal at the national level.

He urged the Prime Minister to intervene in the issue.
