Seashore Chit Fund Fraud : Odisha BJP Demands CBI To Make Public Names Of Ministers, MLAs figured In Seized Audio CD

The Odisha unit of the BJP today demanded that the CBI publish the names in public all the MLAs and Ministers figured in the audio CD seized from an employee of the Seashore Group, a chit fund company which had duped crores of rupees from the innocent investors.
BJP spokesman Samir Mohanty in a statement here said the CBI probing into the multi-crore chit fund scam in the state as per the direction of the Supreme Court has seized the CD from one Pradeep Samantray, an employee of the Seashore Group.
The audio CD, Mr.Mohanty claimed which has been sent for forensic laboratory at Hyderabad contained the detail conversion between Mr.Samantray and one Pinak Mohanty. The CD, the BJP leader said has assumed much significance as it contained the names of several ruling BJD MLAs and Ministers who have been paid money by the Seashore chit fund company.
Mohanty said as per media reports the Seashore Group had paid nearly Rs.550 crore to the politicians in the state, including the ruling party leaders between 2008 to 2012. He said at least 17 BJD MLAs and some ministers were figured in the audio CD who have allegedly taken money from the Seashore company.
The CBI, the BJP spokesperson said should publicly release the names of the MLAs and the Ministers who have taken money from the Seashore company.
He said earlier also the CBI had seized a diary from Subhankar, one middleman in which the names of several politicians, bureaucrats were figured as beneficiary in the chit fund scam. The CBI, Mohanty said should investigate and find out who were these politicians benefited by the Chit Fund companies.
