COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 85.25 per cent in country

New Delhi, October 08 :

The government today said that the country’s recovery rate among the COVID-19 patients has reached 85.25 per cent. During the last 24 hours, 83 thousand and 11 COVID patients have been recovered. Health Ministry said, the total number of recoveries has reached 58 lakh 27 thousand and 704.

The Ministry said, the constantly increasing recoveries have ensured that the actual caseload of the country has reduced and currently comprises only 13.20 per cent of the total positive cases.

Presently, the total number of active cases in the country is nine lakh 2 thousand 425. The Ministry said, effective implementation of Centre’s strategic and graded Test-Track-Treat approach has led to higher recoveries and lower fatality. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.54 per cent. The total number of positive cases has now reached 68 lakh 35 thousand 655.

In the last 24 hours, 971 deaths have been reported taking the toll to one lakh five thousand and 526.

According to ICMR, during the last 24 hours, more than 11 lakh 94 thousand tests have been conducted. The total sample tested so far has reached over eight crore 34 lakhs.
