J&K Police Files FIR Against Separatist Leaders Sayed Ali Geelani , Masrat Alam Bhat For Anti-India Activities

Jammu and Kashmir police has registered case against separatist leaders including Masarat Alam Bhat and Syed Ali Geelani under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act for making inflammatory speeches and hoisting Pakistani flag at a rally organized by Hurriyat Conference at Hyderpora Srinagar.

The FIR has been registered in Budgam Police Station. A police spokesman said that besides Geelani and Masarat, the case has been registered against Bashir Ahmad Bhat alias Peer Saifullah and other separatist leaders for provocative activities.

Some miscreants who were part of the crowd also pelted stones on CRPF vehicles, however security forces maintained restraint.

The development came barely few hours after the Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed said in Srinagar that the viewpoint of those outside the mainstream needs to be understood, for taking out the state out of prevailing political chaos and uncertainty.
