Rebel Prashant Rejects Charges Against Him , Calls Disciplinary Committee Illegal
20 April, New Delhi
Aam Aadmi Party rebel leader Prashant Bhushan has rejected all charges levelled against him, saying that expressing a different view cannot be treated as violation of code of conduct.
In a hard hitting reply to AAP’s showcause notice to rebel leaders on disciplinary ground, Mr Bhushan called the disciplinary committee illegal and said its members, Pankaj Gupta and Ashish Khetan, had made serious allegations against him and Yogendra Yadav.
He alleged that the official video of the National Council meeting was a carefully edited version. He wrote that all the decisions taken since the National Council meeting are illegal since the constitution of the National Executive itself has been illegal.
AAP had on 17th of this month served show-cause notices to four senior leaders Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Anand Kumar and Ajit Jha, who were earlier expelled from the National Executive.
