Enthusiastic Response to Covid vaccination for all above 45 years in Maharashtra

Citizens above the age of 45 are giving enthusiastic responses to Covid 19 vaccination in Maharashtra. Many peoples are seen at various vaccination centers in state. Various people’s representatives also took the first jab of Corona vaccine and urged all the eligible citizens to get vaccinated.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has made special arrangements to administer the doses of vaccine at its main vaccination centres. The doses are being administered in two sessions at BMC’s 10 vaccination centers. Additional waiting and registration rooms are kept in place to avoid the crowding and maintain social distance during the drive.

At present around 40-45 thousand beneficiaries are vaccinated in Mumbai. BMC is planning to increase these numbers to 1 lakh per day. Currently 108 vaccination centers are active in Mumbai. It is planning to increase vaccinations centers to 115.

66 private hospitals are providing covid vaccines in Mumbai and they are allowed to do vaccination in two sessions or for 24 hours. BMC is planning to get permission for additional 26 private hospitals for vaccination. Till yesterday, around 62.5 lakh beneficiaries are vaccinated in state.
