Govt asks Whatsapp messaging platform to withdraw its updated privacy policy

New Delhi, May 19

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has sent a notice to WhatsApp asking the messaging platform to withdraw its updated privacy policy.

In the communication, the Ministry said, the updated privacy policy undermines the values of informational privacy and data security. It has asked WhatsApp to respond to the notice by 25th of May.
