Top seeded pair of Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis have made a first round shock exit in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix tournament played at Stuttgart, Germany.

First-time pairing of Petra Martic and Stephanie Vogt pulled of a straight set stunner 6-3, 6-3 Thursday .

Before Thursday’s defeat, Sania and Martina won back-to-back titles at Indian Wells, Miami and Charleston, a run which helped the Indian become the World Number One women’s doubles player.
