Violence During West Benal Municipal Polls , One Shot Dead , Seven Injured

One person was short dead and another seven received bullet injuries at Burdwan and North 24 Paragana districts during West Bengal Municipal elections Saturday .
The Voting for 91 municipalities are on amidst reports of stray incidents of violence from different areas.

Incidents of firing, hurling of bombs and damaging of EVMs were also reported from various areas of both the districts.

The State Election Commissioner , Susanta Ranjan Upadhyay over 50 percent voting was recorded till 01 PM. He said that stray incidents of violence were reported from different areas.
