India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crosses 66 crore mark

In a significant achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 66 crore mark. As per the 7 PM provisional report, the cumulative figure stands at 66 crore 17 lakh 38 thousand 647. Out of the total vaccination, more than 50 crore 87 thousand vaccine doses have been given as first dose while over 15 crore 29 lakh doses have been administered as second dose.
Union Halth Ministry in a statement said that more than 69 lakh Vaccine Doses have been administered today to the beneficiaries.The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
The Ministry said, 33 thousand 964 Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 97.51 per cent.
The country reported 41 thousand 965 new cases in last 24 hours.
