India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage reaches nearly 73 crore mark

In a landmark achievement, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached nearly 73 crore mark. The cumulative figure stands at 72 crore 97 lakh 50 thousand and 724.

Union Health Ministry said, more than 55 crore 58 lakh vaccine doses have been administered as first dose and over 17 crore 38 lakh vaccine doses given as second doses.

It said, till 7 PM today, more than 56 lakh 91 thousand Vaccine Doses were administered. The Ministry said that the vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.
