Housing For All By 2022 Is A Great Challenge : Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu

Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu Monday said that housing for all by 2022 is a great challenge and public and private sector cooperation is needed to make it possible.

Speaking at the 45th foundation of Housing and Urban Development Corporation in New Delhi , Naidu said, government has a participatory system and public-private participation should be worked in a way to deliver good results.

He said, land is required for development and land is required for building airport, road, rail line and housing. The Minister said, lot of projects are held up due the problem of land acquisition.

Talking about rapid urbanisation in the near future, he said urbanisation is a reality as urban areas have better job opportunities, facility for health and education than rural areas.
