India’s vaccination coverage crosses 85 crore mark; COVID-19 recovery rate reaches 97.78%

New Delhi, September 25

India has crossed yet another milestone in the COVID vaccination drive with the total vaccination crossing the 85 crore mark today. Union Health Ministry has termed it as yet another achievement in its fight against COVID-19.

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has said that world’s largest vaccination drive is creating new benchmarks.

The Union Health Ministry has said that over 28 thousand Covid patients recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate has reached 97.78 per cent which is highest since March 2020. So far, more than three crore 28 lakh people have recovered from COVID-19.

The country reported 29,616 new cases in last 24 hours.
