Over 98 crore 67 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in India so far

New Delhi, October 19

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 98 crore  67 lakh on Monday. Out of the total vaccination, more than 69 crore 98 lakh vaccine doses have been given as first dose, while over 28 crore 69 lakh doses have been administered as the second dose.

Union Health Ministry said, more than 87.23  lakh vaccine doses were administered on Monday. The vaccination exercise as a tool to protect the most vulnerable population groups in the country from COVID-19 continues to be regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level.

The Ministry said, 19 thousand 582 COVID patients recovered on Sunday and the national recovery rate has reached 98.12 per cent.
