Over 101 crore 26 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in country so far

More than 101 crore 26 lakh COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country till Friday evening under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Health Ministry said, over 61 lakh 27 thousand doses were administered yesterday ,while over 64,68 lakh doses administered today so far.
India reported more than 15 thousand new cases during the last 24 hours. India’s Active caseload stands at one lakh 75 thousand 745 and it is the lowest in 232 days. Active cases account for less than one per cent of total cases and it is currently at 0.51 per cent, the lowest since March last year.
The Ministry said, the recovery rate is currently at 98.16 per cent, highest since March last year. Over 18 thousand people recovered in the last 24 hours and total recoveries touched three crore 35 lakh 14 thousand 449.
The weekly positivity rate currently stands at 1.31 per cent which is less than three per cent for the last 119 days. Daily positivity rate is at 1.19 per cent which is less than three per cent for last 53 days.
The death toll due to the pandemic has reached four lakh 53 thousand 42. In the last 24 hours, 231 deaths were reported.
Over 59 crore 70 lakh COVID tests have been conducted across the country so far. More than 13 lakh 24 thousand tests were conducted yesterday.
