BJP Distances Itself From Haryana Agriculture Minister Dhankar’s Remark On Farmers Suicide

BJP Wednesday distanced itself from Haryana Agriculture Minister O P Dhankar’s remarks on farmer suicides saying the government has no space for arrogance.

Talking to a private TV channel, party spokesperson Sambit Patra said the reality has to be understood in a sensitive way.

Patra said the state government will decide on what action should be taken against Mr. Dhankar. Yesterday, the Minister had said that farmers who commit suicide are cowards and they do not deserve the government’s support.
