Govt has not issued any direction for pulling down of Odia film ‘Khyanikaa-the lost idea’ from any medium: Anurag Thakur

Information and Broadcasting minister Anurag Thakur said the government has not issued any direction for pulling down of the Odia film Khyanikaa-the lost idea from any medium.
The minister said, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) certifies film for public exhibition in India in accordance with the Cinematograh Act 1952.
In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Mr Thakur said CBFC is also having a separate regional office in Cuttack in Odisha that caters to certification of Odia films.
He said, the Film Khyanikaa-the lost idea was certified by the CBFC on December 29, 2017 under UA category and was selected for screening in the Indian panorama section of the 48th International Film Festival of India, 2017 organised in Goa.BM
