BJP Not To Tolerate Any Curtailment Of Annual Pilgrimage Period Of Sri Amarnathji In Kashmir :Sunil Sethi

The Jammu and Kashmir Unit of BJP has said that party would not tolerate any interference of separatists’ on the issue of annual pilgrimage of Shri Amaranthji in Kashmir.

Addressing media persons in Jammu Saturday , the party State spokesperson Sunil Sethi condemned the statement of Hardline Hurriyat leader Sayyed Ali Shah Geelani on the curtailment of pilgrimage period and said that authority of decisions on the duration and other issues of pilgrimage solely lie with the concerned Shrine Board which is an autonomous body.

He added that the government’s prerogative is limited only to facilitate and provide security for the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.

On the issue of the waving of Pakistan flags at separatist leader Geelani’s rally in Tral, Kashmir, the BJP leader said that same action should be taken against Geelani as was taken in case of the separatist leader Masarrat Alam after such anti -national activities were committed during his rally in the Valley last month.
