Centre will bring ATF in GST for discussion in next Council meet: FM Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that the Centre will bring for discussion on the issue of bringing aviation turbine fuel ATF into the goods and services tax regime in the next meeting of the GST Council.

In a virtual post-Budget discussion with industry chamber ASSOCHAM on Sunday evening, Ms Sitharaman said that rising global fuel prices is a concern. She said, a final decision of inclusion of ATF in GST will be taken by the Council, which comprise Finance Ministers from Central and state governments. The Minister said, the next time the Council meets, she will put it on the table for discussion.
