Family of Victim Of Moga Incident Agrees To Cremate Body After Post-Mortem

The logjam in the Moga incident involving death of a teenaged Dalit girl after being molested on Wednesday last seems to have been resolved as her family is said to be agreed to cremate her after the post-mortem.
According to sources ,the Chief Minister has reached Moga to condole the family of the deceased. The cremation is likely to be held tomorrow, Sunday morning.
Sources said that the family has accepted the offer of Rs. 20 lakh ex-gratia and 4 lakh rupees for the education of girl’s brother and a job.
Meanwhile, protests by Aam Aadmi Party and Congress are continuing in Moga and Jalandhar, demanding action against the owners of Orbit Bus Service whose employees pushed the girl out of the moving Bus along with her mother in Moga on April 29th . It resulted in girl’s death and injuries to her mother.
Punjab Pradesh Congress President Partap Singh Bajwa asserted that the withdrawal of Orbit Bus Service by the Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal on the plea of sending the staff on orientation course had vindicated Congress stand that the company had recruited rogue elements.
