Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung Asks Delhi Ministers , Officials To Refer All Files To Him As Per Constitution

Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung today directed ministers and officials of Delhi Government to refer to him all files on various issues as is stipulated under the Constitution.

The direction came following news reports of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal instructing all departments not to route files through the Lieutenant Governor’s office.

Referring to the Constitution, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act and Transaction of Business Rules, Jung said the role of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers is to aid and advise him.

The LG also instructed that the directions issued to the officers not to send files to his office be withdrawn.
