PM meets women boxers Nikhat Zareen, Manisha Moun and Parveen Hooda

New Delhi, June 01

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met the women boxers Nikhat Zareen, Manisha Moun and Parveen Hooda who won medals at the recently concluded World Boxing Championships.

While Nikhat Zareen became the fifth Indian pugilist to win a gold medal in the Women’s World Boxing Championships, debutants Manisha Moun and Parveen Hooda won bronze medals.

Later in a tweet, Mr Modi said, glad to have met boxers Nikhat Zareen, Manisha Moun and Parveen Hooda who made India proud at the Women’s World Boxing Championship.

The Prime Minister said, they had excellent conversations on their life journeys including passion towards sports and life beyond it. Mr Modi conveyed best wishes to them for their future endeavours.
