Union I&B Minister Arun Jaitley To Present Dada Saheb Phalke Award To Sashi Kapoor

Actor and film maker Shashi Kapoor will be presented the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke award by Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley in Mumbai today , Sunday.
The veteran actor was unable to attend the National Film Award ceremony in Delhi because of his ill-health on the 3rd of this month. Now, he would be handed over the award at a function at Prithvi Theatre in suburban Mumbai.

The entire Kapoor family is expected to attend the ceremony besides several celebrities from the film industry.

Born in 1938, Shashi Kapoor hit the spotlight at the age of four. Some of his memorable films are Deewar, Kabhie Kabhie, Namak Halal and Kaala Pathar. He was honoured with Padma Bhushan in 2011.
