PM Modi To Embark 3-Nation Visit To China, Mognolia and S.Korea From May 14

Expanding economic cooperation in a wide range of sectors is likely to dominate the agenda of the Prime Minister’s forthcoming visit to three nations, China, Mongolia and South Korea beginning tomorrow.
Briefing media in New Delhi Tuesday, Foreign Secretary, S Jaishankar said that Mr Narendra Modi will arrive at Xian on the first leg of his visit where he will have summit meeting with the Chinese President, Xi Jinping.
Later, the Prime Minister will visit Beijing for delegation level talks and then to Shanghai for meeting Chinese business leaders. He said, issues including border and trade deficit are likely to figure in the talks.

China welcomed the appointment of K.V. Kamath as the first head of the New Development Bank – NDB which is being set up in Shanghai by BRICS countries.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying at a press briefing in Beijing Tuesday said China, as the host country of the bank will provide all support to the bank’s set up. The spokesperson further said the establishment of the New Development Bank is milestone in strengthening financial cooperation among BRICS countries.
The BRICS countries comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, in their last annual summit decided to establish New Development Bank with its headquarters in Shanghai. India was asked to appoint the first governor who will be assisted by four vice-governors from other BRICS countries.
