Center Decides To Procure Eight Helicopters For Anti-Naxal Operations

The Government has approved the procurement of eight helicopters for anti-naxal operations which are meant for BSF.
Minister of State for Home Haribhai Chaudhary stated this in the Rajya Sabha Wednesday . Besides anti-naxal operations, these helicopters will also be deployed for disaster management functions and fulfil the requirements of the National Security Guards.
The first batch of two helicopters was inducted in BSF Air Wing last month, he said.
