Aadhaar card must for LPG subsidy after November

Government has made Aadhaar mandatory for availing LPG gas subsidies after November.

Official sources said Petroleum Ministry has asked Oil marketing companies to facilitate enrollments of Aadhaar of the consumers to avail the subsidy.

Currently, the government gives 12 cylinders at subsidised rates per household in a year.

The subsidy on every cylinder is transfered directly into bank accounts of individuals.
