Around 1.50 lakh foreign delegates expected to reach India to participate in various G20 meetings, said Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy

New Delhi, February 16

Nearly 1.50 lakh foreign delegates are expected to reach India this year to participate in various G20 meetings the country. This information was given by Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and Development of North Eastern Region, G. Kishan Reddy while talking to the media during his visit to Amaravathi. addressing reporters, he said G-20 meetings will be held in 56 cities.

Andhra Pradesh is gearing up to host the G-20 Summit Working Group Committee meeting in Visakhapatnam on March 28 and 29 under Swadesh Darshan Scheme. So far, the State has got 141 crore rupees for various projects for which the State Tourism Department is the implementing agency. Kishan Reddy said there has been an enormous growth in tourist arrivals in Srinagar. The Gandikota of Kadapa, Araku, and Lambasingi would be developed under Swadesh Darshan Scheme.

The Minister said that after Independence and till 2014, only 13 antiquities smuggled out of India were brought back to India. Whereas during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visits to various countries, 229 relics or monuments were brought to the country.
