As per RBI guidelines, name of those wilful defaulters whose loans written-off can’t be revealed until their assets attached : Govt

New Delhi, December 19

Government today reiterated that as per the guidelines of the RBI, the name of those wilful defaulters whose loans have been written-off can’t be revealed until their assets are attached.

Replying to the supplementary question in Lok Sabha during Question Hour, Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Bhagwat Kishabrao Karad said that as per RBI rules, the names and details of the NPA’s written off by Scheduled Commercial Banks can be revealed once the action has been initiated against the defaulter and its assets are auctioned.
