At least 10 infants die in a fire tragedy at Bhandara district hospital in Maharashtra

In Maharashtra, ten infants died in a fire due to a shot circuit in the Special Newborn Care Unit at Bhandara Civil hospital.
The accident took place around half past midnight when a nurse noticed smoke coming from the room. The fire department was called and the hospital was evacuated. District Surgeon Dr. Khandate informed that there were 17 babies in the newborn ward. 7 infants were rescued.
