AUS vs IND: Australia score 327 for 3 at stumps against India on Day One of World Test Championship at Oval

In cricket, Australia were 327 for the loss of 3 wickets in 85 overs at stumps in their first innings against India with Travis Head unbeaten 146  off just 156 balls on the first day of the World Test Championship at the Oval in England..Steve Smith is just five run away from his hundred.

The Australia pair just made the Indian bowlers toil under the hot afternoon sun. They punished the  bowlers at every opportunity.

Australia were 170 for the loss of 3 wickets in 51 overs at tea. Travis Head and Steve Smith have made Australia stable after they lost three wickets at regular intervals. Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bowl first.

The match is being played with the Duke’s ball. This is team India’s second consecutive WTC final in as many editions and will look to go one better this time around. India lost to New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the championship. India is looking to lift the title at the second attempt and end their ICC trophy drought as well. Since their 2013 Champions Trophy win under MS Dhoni’s leadership, India have not won an ICC title.
