BJP Hails Next-Generation GST Reforms, Claims Relief for People on Commodities and Medicines

The BJP today said that next generation GST reforms have provided much relief to the people of the country with a reduction in prices of various items including commodities and medicines.

Addressing the media in New Delhi today, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that people are happy after the rate cuts, citing the media reports and feedback of NDA leaders and Ministers during their visit to markets.

He also alleged that congress imposed a number of different taxes and could not streamline them for 75 years. Mr Patra added that GST only became a reality after the BJP came to power.
