Campaigning in full swing for remaining phases of Lok Sabha polls
Bahraich, April 30:
Campaigning continues for the remaining phases of Lok Sabha polls with the top leaders of several political parties holding public meetings at various places across the country to woo the voters.
Senior BJP leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed rallies at Bahraich and Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh and Muzaffarpur in Bihar on Tuesday.
Addressing a rally at Muzaffarpur, the Prime Minister alleged that the Opposition is trying to install a weak government at the Centre so that it can act arbitrarily. Modi asserted that corrupt people will be sent to jails, and black money will be recovered.
Addressing a rally at Bahraich, he said, this election is not only about government formation, but it will also decide India’s position in the world in the 21st century. Modi said that for development, the country needs a strong government which only BJP can give.
Modi said, providing dignity and security to every citizen is the agenda of BJP. The Prime Minister said the BJP government at Centre will provide house to every citizen in the country by 2022.
Modi said, NDA government is committed to the nation’s security, while the opposition Congress party is compromising with the National Security.
Addressing another rally in Barabanki, Modi said, both BSP and SP looted the state when they were in power and now their sole agenda is to remove him from power.
Congress general secretary and in charge of eastern UP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra led a roadshow in Amethi and also addressed rallies there.
Setting aside the issue of foreign origin of his brother and Congress president Rahul Gandhi, she said that Mr Gandhi is an Indian by birth. BSP chief Mayawati attacked the Modi government in her rally in Dhaurahra and saying that the scheme of giving 6,000 rupees annual financial assistance is just peanuts for farmers of this country.
Samajwadi party president Akhilesh Yadav also attacked BJP in his rally in Banda and said that the Yogi Government brought encounter culture in the state and have not done single development work.
Senior BJP leader and chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other BJP leaders Keshav Maurya and Dr. Dinesh Sharma also addressed election rallies today.
In Rajasthan, campaigning has intensified for the remaining 12 seats, which are going to polls under the Fifth phase on May 6.

Addressing a rally in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, BJP President Amit Shah said that BJP will remove Article 370 from Kashmir as for the party, the security of the country is above vote bank politics.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi said, he will ensure that every year 72 thousand rupees will reach the poorest in the country and particularly people of Bundelkhand if his party is voted to power. He was addressing election rallies in Tikamgarh, Damoh and Khajuraho parliamentary constituencies of Madhya Pradesh.
