Government debunks social media message claiming that Finance Ministry is providing monetary rewards

The Union government has debunked a message circulating on social media claiming that the Finance Ministry is providing monetary rewards. The fact-check unit of the Press Information Bureau has informed that the claim is fake and a part of a scam.

The unit added that no such scheme has been announced by the government. PIB has also urged citizens not fall for such schemes as they could be phishing attempts.
