Odisha plays key role in Viksit Bharat and making 3rd largest economy in world : PM Modi

Eastern India is a growth engine in the development of the country and Odisha plays a key role in Viksit Bharat said Prime Minister Narendra Modi while inaugurating the two-day “Utkarsh Odisha: Make-in-India conclave at Janata Maidan in Bhubanesewar today
PM Modi said Odisha will soon become the epitome of industrial development that no one ever imagined.

The Prime Minister said Odisha is the land of new aspiration, opportunity, optimism and ‘Originality of New India” that will lead all investors and industrialists to reach the pinnacle of success. He has come to Odisha to give a guarantee for this, and it is ‘Modi’s Guarantee’.

Prime Minister said Odisha has always been a priority for him, as he had visited about 30 times since becoming the Prime Minister of the country.

He said the role of Odisha in making India the third largest economy in the world is very significant.

Modi said he has faith in the capacity of Odisha and its people to make the state one of the fastest-growing economies among all the states.” The people of Odisha have always shown a passion to outperform, They have resolved to make Odisha a progressive state and the Central Government has come forward to become a partner in helping the state Government and the people as a whole to fulfil their aspirations”, asserted the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister also called upon the investors and industrialists to support MSMEs, startups by youths, and research and innovation activities in Odisha, and his government will provide all support to them.

PM Modi said today, India is moving on a path of development driven by the aspirations of crores of people.

Calling upon to stop export of raw materials, Prime Minister said finished products should be made by processing the raw materials in India for which the ecosystem is being changed.” India can not grow and develop depending on raw material export and import based supply chain’, he said.

He also called upon the industrialists and business conglomerates to help the Government in building a strong domestic supply chain network instead of depending on unstable Global supply chain.
Prime Minister said that for 21st century India, this era is all about connected infrastructure and multi-modal connectivity.” India is now focussing on green future and green tech, he said.

Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi, Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan and Aswini Baishnaw, and several other dignitaries remained present at the inaugural function.
The land mark conclave will set a new benchmark for Odisha’s Industrial and economic growth, said CM Majhi appealing the investors to become partners in the journey.

Odisha hopes to attract investment exceeding 5 lakh crore rupees, with job creation projected to increase by 3.5 lakh during the two-day-long conclave in which about 100 MoUs are likely to be signed between the Odisha state government and investors.

More than 7,000 delegates, including envoys, investors, and industrialists from India and 12 other countries of “focus” have been participating in the business conclave.
