Pak violates truce on LoC in Poonch, Rajouri, India retaliates

Pakistani army Thursday violated the ceasefire again by firing unprovoked on Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch and Rajouri districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Pakistan early morning resorted to unprovoked firing in Sagra Balnoi area of Mendhar in Poonch district,” police sources here said.

They said that Pakistan fired small arms and mortars and targeted the forward Indian posts.

Police said that later Pakistani Army fired at forward areas of Nowshera Sector in Rajouri.
“Our troops retaliated effectively with similar calibre weapons,” they added and said that no injury or loss of life was reported in exchange of fire.

Pakistan last evening also violated the ceasefire in Poonch sector.
