Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announces Global AI Impact Summit to be held in India next month

Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced that the Global AI Impact Summit will be held in India next month.
Addressing the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Summit-2026 virtually, Mr Vaishnaw said, the AI Impact Summit, which was previously held in the UK, South Korea, and France, is now being held in India this time. He added that as part of the preparations of Global AI Summit, regional AI summits are being held in all states of the country.
Mr Vaishnaw informed that recently, several such summits were held in Meghalaya and Odisha, and today at Jaipur in Rajasthan. The Minister said that, within the next year, ten lakh young people and small entrepreneurs will receive AI skills.
Mr Vaishnaw highlighted that India is witnessing an investment of approximately 70 billion dollars in AI, which is a very significant investment. This IndiaAI Mission involves several new experiments, new applications, and new technology development projects.
