145 MoUs worth Rs12,89 lakh crore signed at two-day Utkarsh Odisha investment summit

A total 145 MoUs worth Rs 12.89 lakh crore were signed during the two-day ‘Utkarsh Odisha- Make in Odisha Conclave 2025’, the first flagship global investment summit hosted by the state BJP government.
The Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi told media persons after the conclusion of the two-day business summit at the Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday that the investment received across various sectors such as Chemicals, Textiles ,Mining and Metallurgy, Renewable energy , It and ITeS , Tourism and Food Processing .
The investment proposals are expected to generate over 8.94 lakh job opportunities, creating a significant socio-economic impact and ensuring inclusive growth across the state, he said.
Stating that the Utkarsh Odisha-Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 has been “a great success”, CM Majhi said a total 593 projects with an investment of Rs.16.73 lakh crore received with employment potential of 12.88 lakh across over 20 sectors.
Apart the MoUs signed, 448 investment intention forms with investment worth Rs.3.84 lakh crore were received with an employment potential of 3.92 lakh jobs, he said.
Majhi said the conclave attracted delegates from over 16 countries including representatives from the Partner Countries -Singapore, Malaysia and Australia further strengthening Odisha’s position as a global investment destination.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the two -day Conclave and had extended his unwavering support to Odisha. The Chief Minister Majhi expressed his gratitude and his sincere thanks on behalf of the four and half crore people of Odisha to Prime Minister for his guarantee-“Modi Ki Guarantee” for investments in Odisha.
Sessions during the conclave such as “Skilled in Odisha “highlighted workforce development initiatives to prepare youth for emerging industries, CM said.
