Cricketer S Sreesanth Friday joined the BJP and theparty has fielded him from Thiruvananthapuram seat for Kerala Assembly elections to be held on May 16.

The Central Election Committee of the party met here at the BJP headquarters this evening to finalise the list of party’s candidates for Kerala Assembly polls.

Addressing reporters after the meeting, Union Health Minister and BJP leader JP Naddasaid for the Kerala Assembly polls, the party has finalised the list of candidates for 51 seats Friday.

“Sreesanth will be contesting from Thiruvananthapuram seat,” Mr Nadda said.The party’s CEC meeting was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and other senior leaders.
