3 Information Commissioners take over in CIC

Three new Information Commissioners were Thursday inducted in the Chief Information Commission, taking their total number to 11, including the Chief Information Commissioner.

Chief Information Commissioner Radha Krishna Mathur administered the oath of office to Bimal Julka, Divya Prakash Sinha and Amitava Bhattacharyya, an official statement said here. Julka is a former IAS officer, while Sinha, a former IPS officer, was holding the charge of Secretary (Security) in the Union government.

His area of eminence includes experience in security. Bhattacharyya, a former IAS officer, was holding the charge of Chairman, Staff Selection Commission. His area of eminence includes Administration and Governance, the statement added.
